Scope
Normalisation dans le domaine des spécifications macro- et micro-géométriques, y compris : - le tolérancement dimensionnel et géométrique, - les propriétés de surface et les principes de vérification correspondants, - les exigences relatives à l'équipement de mesure et d'étalonnage (y compris l'incertitude de mesure dimensionnelle et géométrique). Le concept GPS (Spécifications géométriques des produits) universellement accepté recouvre les caractéristiques suivantes : - caractéristiques géométriques telles que taille, distance, angle, forme, position, orientation, rugosité, etc. - caractéristiques des pièces (systèmes de tolérances) résultants de différents procédés de fabrication et caractéristiques de produits spécifiques. GPS intervient aux différentes étapes de développement d'un produit : conception, fabrication, mesurage, assurance qualité, etc. Les normes GPS sont des normes adoptées en parallèle par le CEN/TC 290 et l'ISO/TC 213.
