Normung im Bereich der strukturellen Verwendung von Stahl und Aluminiumlegierungen im Hoch- und Tiefbau sowie verwandten Konstruktionen. Die Normen umfassen die Anforderungen an die Konstruktion, Herstellung und Montage von Stahl- und Aluminiumkonstruktionen sowie an Werkstoffe, Bauteile und Verbindungen.

Standaardisatie op het gebied van constructief gebruik van staal en aluminiumlegeringen zoals toegepast in de bouw, civiele techniek en aanverwante constructies. De normen omvatten de eisen voor het ontwerp, de fabricage en de montage van staal- en aluminiumconstructies, inclusief materialen, constructiecomponenten en verbindingen.

Standardization in the field of structural use of steel and alloys of aluminium as applied in building, civil engineering and related structures. The standards shall comprise the requirements for the design, fabrication and erection of steel and aluminium structures, together with materials, structural components and connections.
