Préparer des normes pour déterminer la puissance thermique des corps de chauffage sans source de chaleur intégrée (par exemple radiateurs, panneaux chauffants, convecteurs avec ou sans ventilateurs) afin que leur évaluation soit effectuée sur une base commune; - définir des critères normalisés de sélection des échantillons à essayer dans le but de déterminer les puissances thermiques des appareils d'une même famille; - définir des caractéristiques dimensionnelles et des tolérances admissibles afin de comparer l'échantillon essayé à la production courante.

− to prepare product standards defining the characteristics of space heating and/or cooling appliances without integral heat source (e.g. radiators, panels, convectors with or without a fan); − to prepare test standards for determining the nominal thermal output of abovementioned appliances in order to provide a common basis for their evaluation as well as to determine the thermal output in different operating conditions to be used as a basis for designing heating and/or cooling systems, insuring the reproducibility and repeatability of test data within stated tolerances; − to prepare product standards defining the characteristics of radiators valves and fittings operated automatically or manually with or without presetting to control the thermal exchange; − to specify methods and procedures to evaluate all the characteristics included in product standards; − to define criteria and procedures to provide factory product controls to maintain the product characteristics within stated tolerances; − to take the responsibility to follow product standards developed by ISO/TC 205 dealing with the same subject matter.
