Normalisation des méthodes d’échantillonnage, d’analyse et d’essais, de la terminologie, de la classification et des spécifications des produits pétroliers et produits connexes, carburants et combustibles, lubrifiants et fluides hydrauliques, d’origine minérale et de biomasse, incluant la normalisation des carburants et combustibles gazeux et liquides et des biocarburants pour les transports et les usages stationnaires. Les normes comprennent celles relatives à la caractérisation de la qualité des produits et à d'autres aspects connexes tels que le système de suivi de la qualité des carburants

Standardization of methods of sampling, analysis and testing, terminology and specifications and classifications for petroleum related products, fuels, lubricants and hydraulic fluids, that origin from mineral oil and biomass; including the standardization of gaseous and liquid fuels and bio-fuels for transport and stationary applications. It excludes bio-methane and natural gas. The standards include those for characterizing the product quality and for related aspects, e.g. a quality monitoring system for automotive fuel.
