Ambient atmospheres

Elaboration of standards in the field of ambient atmospheres excluding the establishment of limit values. The standards are used to determine components of ambient atmospheres that may arise from human activities or occur naturally. These standards are used in legislation, by reference, to determine compliance with limit or reference values, by public or private entities to determine the current components of ambient atmospheres, and in research on the composition, fate, and transport of constituents of the atmosphere. The subcommittee's responsibilities include all ancillary practices and quality assurance procedures necessary to ensure acceptable performance and maintenance of its standards.

Erarbeitung von Normen im Bereich der Umgebungsluft, ausgenommen die Festlegung von Grenzwerten. Die Normen dienen der Bestimmung von Bestandteilen der Umgebungsluft, die durch menschliche Aktivitäten entstehen oder natürlichen Ursprungs sind. Sie werden in der Gesetzgebung durch Verweis zur Überprüfung der Einhaltung von Grenzwerten oder Referenzwerten, von öffentlichen und privaten Einrichtungen zur Bestimmung der aktuellen Zusammensetzung der Umgebungsluft sowie in der Forschung zu Zusammensetzung, Verbleib und Transport von Atmosphärenbestandteilen verwendet. Zu den Aufgaben des Unterausschusses gehören alle Nebentätigkeiten und Qualitätssicherungsverfahren, die für die ordnungsgemäße Anwendung und die Aufrechterhaltung der Normen erforderlich sind.

Het opstellen van normen op het gebied van omgevingsatmosferen, met uitzondering van het vaststellen van grenswaarden. De normen worden gebruikt om componenten van omgevingsatmosferen te bepalen die kunnen ontstaan door menselijke activiteiten of van nature kunnen voorkomen. Deze normen worden gebruikt in wetgeving, door middel van referentie, om de naleving van grens- of referentiewaarden te bepalen, door publieke of private instanties om de huidige componenten van omgevingsatmosferen te bepalen, en in onderzoek naar de samenstelling, het lot en het transport van bestanddelen van de atmosfeer. De verantwoordelijkheden van de subcommissie omvatten alle ondersteunende praktijken en kwaliteitsborgingsprocedures die nodig zijn om aanvaardbare prestaties en handhaving van haar normen te garanderen.

Élaboration de normes dans le domaine des atmosphères ambiantes, à l'exclusion de l'établissement de valeurs limites. Ces normes servent à déterminer les composants des atmosphères ambiantes pouvant provenir d'activités humaines ou être d'origine naturelle. Elles sont utilisées dans la législation, par référence, pour déterminer la conformité aux valeurs limites ou de référence, par les entités publiques ou privées pour déterminer la composition actuelle des atmosphères ambiantes, et dans la recherche sur la composition, le devenir et le transport des constituants de l'atmosphère. Les responsabilités du sous-comité comprennent toutes les pratiques annexes et les procédures d'assurance qualité nécessaires pour garantir l'application et le maintien de ses normes.
