(1) Dit document geeft basisregels voor de selectie van materialen en de uitvoering van metselwerk om te voldoen aan de ontwerpveronderstellingen van de andere delen van Eurocode 6.(2) Dit document behandelt gewone aspecten van metselwerkontwerp en -uitvoering, waaronder:- selectie van metselwerkmaterialen - factoren die de prestaties en duurzaamheid van metselwerk beïnvloeden - metselwerkdetaillering, voegafwerkingen, dilatatievoegen, weerstand van gebouwen tegen vochtindringing - opslag, voorbereiding en gebruik van materialen op de bouwplaats - uitvoering van metselwerk - metselwerkbescherming tijdens uitvoering (3) Dit document behandelt de volgende items niet:- esthetische aspecten - aangebrachte afwerkingen 1.2 Veronderstellingen(1) De veronderstellingen van EN 1990 zijn van toepassing op dit document.(2) Dit document is bedoeld om te worden gebruikt in combinatie met EN 1990, EN 1991, EN 1996 1-1, EN 1996-1-2 en EN 1996-3.(3) Het ontwerp van het metselwerk wordt uitgevoerd overeenkomstig EN 1996 1 1.
