This document can only be applied from the moment its corresponding Belgian national annex (ANB) is published. This document does not replace the existing standard NBN EN 1999-1-3:2007 and its amendment NBN EN 1999-1-3/A1:2011. The sole purpose of publishing this document at this stage is to enable Eurocode users to familiarize themselves with future normative texts while awaiting the entry into force of the new generation of Eurocodes and their respective ANBs.</p>

1.1 Toepassingsgebied van EN 1999-1-3 (1) Dit document vormt de basis voor het ontwerp van constructies van aluminiumlegeringen die onderhevig zijn aan vermoeiing in de uiterste grenstoestand. (2) Dit document geeft regels voor: - veilig leven ontwerpen - schadetolerant ontwerp - ontwerp ondersteund door testen. (3) Dit document heeft geen betrekking op drukvaten of leidingen. 1.2 Aannames (1) De algemene aannames van EN 1990 zijn van toepassing. (2) De bepalingen van EN 1999-1-1 zijn van toepassing. (3) EN 1999-1-3 is bedoeld voor gebruik in combinatie met EN 1990, EN 1991 (alle delen), relevante delen in EN 1992 tot EN 1999, EN 1090-1 en EN 1090-3 voor eisen voor uitvoering, en EN' s, EBD' s en ETA' s voor bouwproducten die relevant zijn voor aluminiumconstructies.
